Butte County School District has approximately 400 students. The staff consists of 68 people, of whom 35 are certified. In the district there are two elementary schools and one middle/high school. One of the elementary schools is located in Howe, Idaho. The high school has a welding program and a healthcare professions program, and is seeking to further expand its career and technical educational opportunities. We are located at the foot of our famous "Number Hill" where the senior class paints their graduation year in celebration of their accomplishments. We are 23 miles west of the INL, 65 miles west of Idaho Falls, ID, and 18 miles north of Craters of the Moon National Monument.
